I recently was interviewed by Ferris Aitchison, Co-Founder of TECHNE. TECHNE is a talent sourcing company specialising in the automotive and semiconductor industry. I find particularly interesting, their strategy to bring the experience of experienced professionals to students and young professionals, so they are better informed to decide if the automotive and semiconductor sector is the right industry to target. I am pleased to help Ferris and his team with their objectives, it finds it a brilliant idea. Embarking on the DBA Journey: Progress and Passion in Algorithmic Trading Research

I wanted to share an exciting update on my academic journey. Recently, I passed a significant milestone in my doctorate program—a module titled "Progression to DBA Research Stage." This module has propelled me into the next phase of my studies, where I will be diving deep into my DBA thesis. As a passionate researcher in the field of algorithmic trading, I am thrilled to have the opportunity to explore this captivating subject further. In this blog post, I will discuss my research proposal, the progress made thus far, and my anticipated path for the next three years. As part of the module mentioned above, I had the chance to craft a comprehensive research proposal. Titled "Research Proposal for Algorithmic Trading," this document lays the foundation for my DBA thesis. It outlines the core concepts, objectives, and methodology that will shape my research in the coming years.

Practicing as an independent financial adviser, an obstacle course with prohibitive costs

Financial advice is a profession that is heavily regulated in the EU. There are two basic modalities to practice the profession of financial adviser, the first is through association with a financial institution and the second through the formation of a company. What leads to being a dependent or independent financial advisor respectively. This article explores the training requirements for financial advisors. It also outlines the necessary steps to practice as an independent financial advisor in the EU, which require obtaining a financial license and forming a company in a European jurisdiction.

The real estate situation in Germany. Is there a bubble?

The purchase prices of houses in Munich show a growth that many describe as a real estate bubble, with an average of 5000 EUR/m2 in 2016 to 7500 EUR/m2 in 2020, which leads to a growth of 50%. Prices not only grow due to the economic boom and strategic situation of the city, the financing facilities are excellent, the financial institutions provide loans with interests close to 0%.

Cisium, Inc., Website Closing

It has been a very long journey for Cisium, Inc. website. It started in 2007 and this year finally I shut it down. I created the site using Joomla!, it overcome one major update in 2010. To use Joomla! as content management system has not been a pleasant job. In my experience Joomla! is slow and the administration is heavy. After many years using Joomla! in many websites, I don’t think it will use it anymore.

We are glad to announce that CISIUM website has been upgrade to the latest web technology.For this new version we have used the latest Joomla! 3.4. The release introduces new features into the CMS such as improved front end module editing, decoupling of weblinks, composer integration, Google new reCaptcha and security improvements by implementing UploadShield code which can detect most malicious uploads by examining their filenames and file contents.

Cisium, Inc. My Own Company

The idea came at the end of 2008, when I reflected on the fact that many multinational companies are located in low-cost countries, normally underdeveloped, for product manufacturing and service support. The fact is that those multinational companies, such as HP, Lexmark, Lear, etc. They have a financial capacity large enough to locate impressive manufacturing and engineering complexes in inhospitable places. The attempt to extrapolate the same concept to medium and small companies was very complicated, numerous barriers such as financing, language, culture, etc. They made the strategy unfeasible.
